Baci di Dama, also known as Lady's Kisses is a traditionnal cookie made in the region of Piemonte, Italy. These little "kisses" originate back in the nineteenth century. The ingredients were all locally sourced, including the hazelnuts from the Piemonte region.

A more romantic legend on the Baci di Dama cookies, explains that this delicacy was born from the immagination of one of the chefs from Savoya who created these kisses as a request by King Vittorio Emanuelle II, back in 1952 to taste a new sweet. The product was approved and since then it has been served as the traditional delicacy on the tables across Italy and Europe.
